What is the Sweet Carolina Blog?

Welcome friends, to the Sweet Carolina blog! My name is Amanda and I am passionate about pursuing success and growth in all areas of life. I don’t claim to have “arrived” by any means, but I look forward to seeking out the answers together as we grow and change to fulfill God’s purpose in our lives.

I am originally from the bluegrass state of Kentucky where I was born and raised. Near the end of 2017, my husband got offered a promotion at his job. We packed up our two small children and a small moving truck of our modest belongings and we made the move to Raleigh, North Carolina  – hence the “Sweet Carolina” blog. We have made a sweet life here and it keeps getting sweeter. It isn’t without its bumps in the road and it’s very far from perfect. I sometimes wish it were, but the truth of the matter is, that just isn’t a reality for anyone. I want to help dispel some of those lies that social media has perpetuated that contribute to holding so many of us back from our full potential. We can do amazing things and there is enough success available for everyone!

What is “success”? The dictionary defines it very simply as, “the accomplishment of an aim or purpose.” Doesn’t it feel good to accomplish something you’ve set out to do? Even if it’s something as mundane as cleaning out the garage or organizing your closet. That sense of accomplishment is so satisfying! No matter what level of success you want to achieve, whether it’s losing 20 pounds or becoming financially independent and everything else in between, my goal is to be a resource to help you achieve your aim and purpose.

What about joy? There is a serious lack of joy in our world today, amiright? How do we find this cliche “joy in the journey” as we pursue the next thing? Can we be happy even when we aren’t where we want to be? We’re going to spend time addressing this topic as well. I am convinced it is over half the battle in achieving everything we’ve ever dreamed of in life.

So think of me as your encourager and cheerleader in the fight of life. I’m down in the trenches with you and I’m going to do whatever it takes to bring you the best information possible to help you move forward and take new ground. Are you ready?

And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him. Colossians 3:17
